HUDSON

HUDSON (aka “The Folklore House”) was our very first home improvement project.

Located in Hudson, New York— this was a “we did it ourselves” hands-on renovation of a two-unit home, built in 1930. As renovations came together, we turned the space into an interior design and styling passion project.

Project completed (and sold) in September 2020.

TOP AND BOTTOM
A Do It Yourself Renovation

A multi-family home, this property featured identical floor plans on two levels. While bringing our vision to life in this space, our hands felt like they interacted every surface, both inside and out.

From gutting two full kitchens, removing several walls (to open the floor plans), fully renovating two spa bathrooms, as well as remodeling the home’s exterior— Patience became a great creative companion, and impatience a great fuel.

A Found and Foraged, 70’s Inspired Modern Space

With nearly every piece of furniture either found at an estate sale, Craigslist, on Etsy, Chairish, or through friends— this space felt deeply connected to our aim of collecting and preserving unique vintage pieces.
